  • Carbon dating: Dendrochronolo gy (tree ring dating) shows there are no trees on the whole of earth that are older than 4,500 years. Now the age of the Earth is estimated to be from 10,000 years (creationists view) to 4.5 billion years old (scientists view). So what does this tell us about the destructive nature of the environmental impacts upon Earth's fauna, that it's trees cannot live beyond 4,500 years? Is there some meteorological cycle in effect here, and what is its source and nature? In other words, didn't trees exist prior to the ones that are now only 4500 years old? Did some stupendous climate event wipe out the other trees?__Sam Reese
